How does it work?
The Auto Pass program gives you quick access to the funding that will get you into your next vehicle with payments that fit your budget, and it gives you lots of added value.
- Step one: Apply online for a preapproved auto loan and get your Auto Pass card.
- Step two: Take your pick of the many participating Auto Pass Dealers to shop for your dream car.
- Step three: Show your Auto Pass card to a participating Auto Pass Dealer to get up to $1,000 in benefits, cash, and gifts when you fund your next vehicle with a preapproved Auto Pass loan.
IMPORTANT: Your Auto Pass preapproval is good no matter where you buy—whether the dealership you choose participates in the Auto Pass program or not. Level 1 versus Level 2: Choosing the dealership
The Auto Pass program has two levels, based on whether you buy from a participating Auto Pass Dealer or not.
Level 1: Get your Auto Pass preapproval before going to ANY dealership, and you get from Harborstone:
- Preapproved auto loan (expires 45 days from issue date)
- No payment for the first 90 days of the loan
- Classy Chassis auto wash/detail coupon book (a $100 value—Pierce County residents only)
- Option to skip two auto loan payments per year
Level 2: Get your Auto Pass preapproval before buying from a participating Auto Pass Dealer, you get from Harborstone all the Level 1 benefits above, PLUS:
- $200 coupon for cash (may be redeemed after loan has been on the books for more than 90 days and first payment has been made)
- Auto 360 Program (a $300 value—free for one year: emergency roadside assistance, gas rebates, dent guard protection, and more)
PLUS, participating Auto Pass Dealers offer their own generous extras valued at up to $500 or more for you to take home the day you buy your vehicle.

What if the dealership doesn’t participate in Auto Pass?
The Auto Pass program has two levels, based on whether you buy from a participating Auto Pass Dealer or not. If you buy from a non-participating dealership, you're a Level 1 Auto Pass member.

Do I get a Harborstone membership with my Auto Pass card?
Lucky you! Your Auto Pass card automatically comes with a Harborstone Credit Union membership.

All loans, rates, terms, and collateral are subject to credit approval, are subject to change at any time, and must meet Harborstone Credit Union lending policies. Proof of full-coverage insurance is required. Interest will accrue during first 90 days of no payments. Auto loans currently financed with Harborstone Credit Union cannot be refinanced with this offer. Federally insured by the NCUA.
To be eligible to receive $200 cash from Harborstone, auto loan must be open 90 days from origination date. $200 will be deposited to member’s savings account following the 90 days from origination date and after first payment has been made. $200 coupon must be redeemed to receive deposit. Not all loans will qualify for the option to skip two payments per rolling calendar year.
Exclusive Auto Pass program benefits are distributed only to borrowers who receive a Harborstone Credit Union preapproved Auto Pass loan and purchase their vehicle at a participating Auto Pass Dealer. Auto Pass program benefits, loan rates, and terms are subject to change at any time.
First time buyer and Harborstone Plus auto loan programs do not qualify for the Auto Pass program benefits and incentives. May not be combined with other Harborstone Credit Union offers. Other restrictions may apply.
